Source Note: All figures on this page come from the signed Easton Area School District β Easton Area Education Association agreement dated April 19, 2022, term July 1, 2022 β June 30, 2025 (Article III). Salary figures below are the 2024-25 "Year 3" schedule, the last year defined in that agreement.
π Contract Status: Contract on file: July 1, 2022 β June 30, 2025. Successor status unconfirmed β no successor agreement is in our source set, and a public-source check on September 28, 2026 found no Pennsylvania report of a settled successor. (Reports of an "Easton contract settled May 2025 / 2023β2026" trace to Easton, Massachusetts, a different district.) Do not read this as a claim that Easton teachers currently lack a contract.

π° Salary Schedule Details
One schedule for all hires: Easton uses a single 15-step salary schedule β there is no separate pre-2014 / post-2014 salary track. (The 2014 hire date does matter, but only for the sick/personal-day retirement payout formula and for retiree-healthcare age.) Column movement: one column every 24 months; beginning in year two of the contract, one column every 12 months. Notification window is September and January only (Article V).
β οΈ Correction (Sept 28, 2026): An earlier version of this page showed a two-column BA/MA table whose Steps 2β15 did not come from the Easton contract (its Step 15 BA figure, $103,788, is actually Nazareth's top step). The table below is transcribed cell-by-cell from the 2024-2025 Year 3 Salary Schedule, printed p.18 of the CBA.

β Key Highlights & Competitive Position
β Strengths: 4 personal days (more than the 3 offered at Nazareth, Northampton, Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg), $2,500 NBC stipend, life insurance indexed at 1.2Γ salary rather than a flat cap, tuition at the ESU rate with no flat dollar cap, and a 15-step schedule in line with Northampton and Parkland.
β Gaps: No health opt-out payment (unlike Northampton's $4,800/yr). No percentage COLA in this contract β Article V provides step movement only in each of the three years. Pre-2014 hires have a separate, more complex 25%-of-salary sick payout. No class size limits and no department chair stipend in the agreement.
π΄ Areas of Concern: BA starting pay ($62,930) is $452 below Stroudsburg ($63,382) β though it is above Northampton ($61,255) and Nazareth ($56,253). MA starting pay ($66,500) is $9,922 below Stroudsburg ($76,422). The Masters ceiling of $96,690 sits below Nazareth's $101,877 and East Stroudsburg's $98,255 (2024-25) but above Northampton and Stroudsburg. Sick payout at $50/day for post-2014 hires is low β below Northampton ($90/day) and Stroudsburg ($100/day), though above Nazareth's $40/day.
